📋 Overview
What is STEMcult?
STEMcult is a national STEM and cultural performance competition for students of Grades 6–12. It provides a platform for students to creatively express STEM concepts through cultural performances, combining innovation, artistic expression, teamwork, and scientific thinking.
Teams can participate in a variety of performance categories, including Dance, Musical Performance, Street Play, Puppet Show, Theatre/Drama, Fashion Show, Storytelling, and Digital Innovation Showcase. Every team must choose ONLY ONE official competition theme and present an original performance that demonstrates creativity, STEM integration, teamwork, and impactful communication.
Who Can Participate?
Grades: 6–12
Participation: Team Only (Minimum 3 – Maximum 12 Students)
Eligibility: Students of Grades 6–12 from schools across India
Theme Rule: Every team must choose ONLY ONE official theme
Performance Categories: Theatre/Drama, Dance, Musical Performance, Storytelling, Street Play, Puppet Show, Fashion Show, or Digital Innovation Showcase
Format: Mentoring, Ideation and Zonal rounds online; live performance at the IIT Delhi finale
Key Stages
1. Mentoring (Online): Attend an expert-led online mentoring session to understand the competition, themes, performance guidelines, submission process, and judging criteria before preparing your performance.
2. Ideation (Online): Choose ONE official competition theme, develop an original performance concept, and submit your performance abstract. There is no elimination in this round—all eligible teams proceed to the next stage.
3. Zonal (Online): Submit your complete performance video along with the performance abstract. Performances will be evaluated by the judging panel, and the top teams from each zone will qualify for the Grand Finale.
4. Grand Finale (@ IIT Delhi): Present your live performance before an expert jury at IIT Delhi and compete for the National Championship by showcasing creativity, STEM integration, cultural expression, and teamwork.

Every team must select ONLY ONE theme for their performance. Once your theme is selected and submitted, it cannot be changed.
